So, I got my AS results last month. In all honesty, they were disappointing. I mean they weren’t too bad, I’m not going to have to repeat the whole year, and for some people that is the best they could have done. But for me, it wasn’t enough. I knew sitting those exams that I hadn’t put the work in, and now i’m paying the price. Hopefully, I still might reach my goals, but this year I’m really going to have to pull my neck in.
I mean there really is a difference between trying really hard, putting in your all and getting mediocre results, because at least you did your best, at least there isn’t anything else you could have done. But when you, like me, don’t really think of the consequences, put in the minimal effort and hope everything will work out okay. You can’t help but be a little ashamed of yourself, because you just limited yourself in the biggest way.
So this September, I am giving myself a new year’s resolution. I’m going to:
- always put 100% effort in
- be more organised
- revise revise revise
- always keep school as my priority
Let’s see if I can stick to it hey?
